Crystal Star Finn-Dunn is a diverse dance artist, model, actress, teacher, choreographer, and director based in Toronto. She has created and performed for shows across the globe including Ted Talks, HUM Awards, Danny Fernandes’ tour (China), Ladies of Hip Hop (NYC) the Pan-American Games, Nuit Blanche, Impulstanz under Mani Obeya (Vienna), Gadfly’s TUDS, Meridian Hall's Breakin’ Convention, Sasy's Concert, Funkbox NYC, The Art Gallery of Ontario, New Blue Dance Festival, Continental Pageantry (Chicago), and Toronto Pride.

She has been teaching and choreographing consistently for over 7 years. Her choreography has won awards at various dance competitions for the free flowing movement, technical difficulty, and connection to the music.
Most recently, she has acted in full-length and short films, while producing and directing her short dance film AmalgaMotion to be seen in film festivals internationally including Fall for Dance North, and winning 6 accolades thus far.

DANCER
Crystal has over 26 years of dance training. Her styles include ballet, contemporary, tap, jazz, and hip hop. She is a graduate of York University with a BFA in Dance specializing in ballet and modern, and performance and choreography. Crystal’s classical and contemporary training has manifested into her practice of street styles house, waacking, and popping, along with samba, belly dance, Indian classical and working with fire. Crystal finds her connection to movement to be free flowing, rooted in floorwork, physical, grounded and articulate.

MODEL/ACTOR
Crystal has worked as the lead actress and model in music videos, commercials, and digital campaigns with both speaking roles and voice over work. She is featured in the full-length independent film "We Run These Streets" (Toronto), and upcoming short films. She has modeled for fashion, beauty, corporate and commercial brands across North America, United Kingdom, Australia and Korea.

TEACHER/
CHOREOGRAPHER
Crystal's teaching approach is to allow students to learn through understanding foundation, and applying techniques to their individualized physicality. Her range of styles allows her to pull from all backgrounds to lead an engaging class. She challenges her students with various concepts of musicality, movement qualities, partner work, and floorwork. Most importantly, the students should find connection, feel supported, & have fun!
